Straight from the farm.
We get the stevia leaf from crops in 5 different countries, and we are vertically integrated in the crop in Mexico.
All our farming partners maintain minimally invasive crop control methodsin order to reduce the interference on the natural features of the stevia plant.
Using only water.
We take the leaf to our production plant and we extract itusing only room temperature water in order to preserve all the attributes of stevia. There are absolutely no chemicals involved in this extraction. Seriously!
Recovering the essence
The crude extraction is purified using molecular filtrations and a purification column process. All purification is performed in water, without any alcohols or added enzymes. It is a complex process, but it is as harmless as filtering an apple or orange juice at home. This step is carried out in cold and uses very small filters in order to retain impurities even if they are so small that we can not see them.
We ensure harmlessness.
Although the purification helps to strongly reduce the bioburden, the purified extractis pasteurized to ensure a microbiologically safe product.
Turning Stevia into a powder.
This is the same process used to get milk powder, but in this case it is done with stevia extract. The product passes through an atomizer, like a shower, which micronizes the liquid. Then, it makes contact with hot air to achieve evaporation of water, and as a result we obtain the powder.
